The generators which use petrol as fuel to run their engine are known as Petrol Generators. Petrol engines are used to convert the chemical energy of petrol into mechanical energy. The mechanical energy from the engine is then used to power a moving component known as a rotor, which in turn generates a moving magnetic field around a stationary component known as a stator (a set of conductors wound in coils over an iron ore). This process induces a voltage difference between the winding of the stators, thus producing electricity.
